The death of a local Irish mob figure, Patrick "Patty" Mullin, allows the return of Michael's coffee "Hill" neighborhood of Providence. Coffee had been hidden for seven years after the man promised to kill him. On his return begins to reassume its old criminal business with his friend Pete McConagle. Chief Michael Freddie Cork is political blackmail Michael, the brother Tommy Caffee in the allocation of lucrative contracts with it a threat to kill Michael. Tommy refuses to get carried away and tells Freddie that he does not care about Michael. Michael manages to arrange a temporary truce with Freddie.
