The first season of musical comedy-drama television Glee originally aired on May 19, 2009 by Fox in the United States. The season was produced by 20th Century Fox Television Ryan Murphy and television, and executive producers of the series creator Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, and Dante Di Loreto.The series focuses on a happy high school club, called “New Directions”, located in the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio. The season is expected to consist of 22 episodes. The pilot episode was aired as an advanced preview the May 19, 2009, followed by another 12 episodes of September 9, 2009 to December 9, 2009. The season resumed for another nine episodes April 13, 2010 to June 8, 2010. The first 13 episodes of the season aired on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm (ET), while the last nine episodes will air on Tuesdays at 9:00 pm (ET).
